Compared with Paul prism, roof prism has two
main disadvantages: one is that the light loss is more, and the image is dark; the other is that it requires high assembly accuracy, which is difficult to manufacture and the price is relatively high. The performance of the roof prism with excellent manufacturing can catch up with that of Paul prism, but it is difficult to surpass Paul prism.
