Product Description

The transparent body with triangular cross section is called the three prism. It is an optical instrument with triangular section made of transparent material. It belongs to one of the dispersive prisms. It can make the chromatic light dispersion when passing through the prism.

Because the refractive index of the same medium to all kinds of monochromatic light is different, the deflection angle of each monochromatic light is different when passing through a prism. Therefore, the white light through the prism will separate the monochromatic light, forming seven colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple, namely dispersion.
